Three Months Old

I can't believe Avery is already 3 months old! The time has gone by so fast. She is such a fun little girl. She likes to laugh, smile and play (especially with Sophie the Giraffe). She also likes to watch the colorful, flashing lights on my dad's "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. It actually soothes her when she gets fussy. I know she is a Las Vegas girl at heart! She is getting too big for her Moses basket! She is holding her head up high and rolling over regularly during tummy time. She is even attending dinner parties at the home of her cousins, Lynne and Michael.

Though many things have quickly changed, Avery still loves sitting in her bouncy chair.

Baby Jeans and Funky Hats

I am obsessed with three things: baby feet, baby socks, and baby jeans! I think Avery looks so incredibly cute in her jeans!
My Aunt Nancy gave Aaron and I this outfit for Avery's travels to Las Vegas. Though we weren't traveling to Vegas, I couldn't resist putting her in it! She loves her flower hat.

Life at 11 Weeks Old

Who knew the life of an 11 week old was so busy! This little one sure gets out and about!

On Tuesday, Avery went to Microsoft to meet my friends and co-workers and Avery was given a little badge to wear during her stay.
She hung out with dad each night...

and chatted him up about her day.
There was lots of playtime on her mat......and tummy time on her blanket. She has started rolling from her tummy to her back more consistently.

We took a walk around Greenlake with Owen (on the right) and Clive (on the left).
Avery got a little upset, so the boys tried to comfort her
. She even had time for a photo op with mom.
We worked on standing with assistance from mom and dad...
...and we watched TV when we thought no one was looking.
With all this fun, what could possibly have made Avery so upset?

And of course, we slept!
and slept...
and slept.
What a fun week!

Visiting Aaron at Work

Last Monday Aaron had a very special visitor at work - Avery! We were welcomed to APM Terminals with a sign, a present and cake. Avery recieved a great book and a white chocolate cake (which she couldn't fully enjoy!) Avery loved Nancy and gave her two big smiles!

Jon was a natural with Avery.
Wes showed his experience with kids (he has 5).

Avery was ready for a hard day's work on the terminal.
She even helped Aaron with his daily emails.
It was a great day visiting the terminal!

Seafair Weekend - July 31st - August 2nd

I love Seafair weekend in Seattle! It was especially fun this year because I could share it with Avery (even though she slept through most of the activities) and my best friend Angie and her two daughters, Josie and Maura, who were in town from Boise. It was Angie, Josie and Maura's first time meeting Avery. Maura, Josie and AveryAngie and Avery On Saturday we had a picnic at the Madison Park beach to watch the Blue Angels show. Avery did pretty good with the noise from the planes.
We then went to the Woodland Park Zoo with Angie, her husband Matt, and Josie and Maura. It was actually the first time Aaron and I had been to the zoo together!

On Sunday we went to the beach at Luther Burbank Park with Angie and the girls. Though we were on the east side of Mercer Island, we were still able to see a bit of the Blue Angels' air show.
