Stockholm, Sweden August 18th-20th

We left Poland on the morning of August 18th and headed to Stockholm, Sweden on this fine Wizz Air jet (yes...I said "Wizz" Air). It was such an eventful experience I had to get a couple good shots of the airplane!

Our visit to Stockholm wasn't exactly "well researched" as we started the trip by flying into the wrong airport! Travel tip--Stockholm has two airports...one right in Stockholm and one two hours outside of town. So, we boarded this bus and started the 2 hour journey into the city. Looks like all these people flew into the wrong airport too!

The city of Stockholm is actually 14 islands connected together by bridges. It is a fun, beautiful city. Aaron and I had a great time just touring around and getting lost.

Poland Trip - August 8th-18th, 2008

Aaron and I traveled to Poland with our friends Joanna and Matt Boisen to celebrate their wedding...Polish style! We had quite a crew of friends with us. Joanna's parents hosted us in their cabin in the countryside and their condo in the city of Kartuzy. As you will see, we had an amazing time!

On our first day we attended mass and toured the cemetary where the Plichta's relatives are burried.

The city of Gdansk is a port city on the Northern coast of Poland. It was burned to the ground in WWII, but rebuilt as though it had never been destroyed.

The night before the wedding, we took turns throwing bottles against the wall. Joanna, as the "bride to be," is then tasked with cleaning up the glass to show her "bridegroom" what a good wife she will be.

Joanna and Matt had a beautiful Polsih wedding and reception that went well into the early hours of the morning.

Matt and Joanna's ceremony started in the church in Kartuzy.

Then we moved into a Greek restaurant in Gdansk where we ate, drank and danced all night!

There was plenty of food, wine and of course, VODKA!
